I’d just woken up from a nap. You see, yesterday, when eating some almonds, I cracked my tooth. To be honest, I’d already lost a part of a filing and half-expected something like this to happen for the last six weeks. I know I should have had it looked at. In fact, I even added an iCal event set for the beginning of April to set a dentist’s appointment. I just sort of blocked it out of my mind. Anyway, I bit down on the almond and felt a deeply disturbing CRACK as the weakened molar gave way. Frankly I was surprised that it didn’t really hurt. By then it was 4pm and too late to call a dentist so I drove to the nearest CVS drugstore and bought an emergency filling repair it. You know the kind with that putty? It seemed like a good idea to get an extra one too, so I did. When I got home I packed it in around the hole. Ironically, it made the area less sensitive to cold although the slight taste of the epoxy made me a little nauseous. Today I looked up some dentists on Google and got an appointment on the very first try. Lucky! Long story short: Extraction. Codeine. Nap. Wake. Safari. Crash.
